Mike Hostetler is the owner and the principal consultant for SquarePeg Systems. He's worked in the technology field in a variety of positions. Mike has configured Cisco routers, administrated Unix machines, he's traveled the world in doing product support, been on the phone at 1am troubleshooting issues, done Quality Assurance testing, application development, web design, and wrote technical documentation. Just to name a few. That's a lot of things for 15 years in industry. He's learned the value of Open Source. Not just in the common LAMP stack, but also in the Java world, where he is a big fan of such tools and applications at Spring, JiBX, Eclipse, Tomcat, and JBoss. He's used and abused them and found that they hold up better than most, if all, commercial applications. p
